Dear Surfer Welcome! I probably read a few thousand web pages and I then promised myself two things: first I would have my own and second it would not be the same old site where the author explains you that he knows it all ! I’m just a comic fan! I spent a lot of time reading the amazing stories of super coloured heroes when I was younger! What is the Wikipedia definition of a superhero by the way !: A superhero (sometimes rendered super-hero or super hero) is a fictional character "of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest". Since the debut of the prototypal superhero Superman in 1938, stories of superheroes — ranging from brief episodic adventures to continuing years-long sagas — have dominated American comic books and crossed over into other media. By most definitions, characters need not have actual superhuman powers to be deemed superheroes, although sometimes terms such as costumed crime fighters are used to refer to those without such powers who have many other common traits of superheroes.  As many, I dreamt of becoming a superhero, I’ve read countless miles of pages and tons of comic books, most of them second-hand sold as fast as bought to a local book store! If I knew there value now… I would have kept them! The only difference between me and my friends is that I never stopped! And yes, living a couole years in the US helped being under the spell. But even if I had never been across the Atlantic Ocean, the drawings of my supernatural imaginary friends would never have ceased to be part of my life. Add the fact that I am a collector at heart and you understand why I have cases of books and binders of trading cards.  I then eventually made this site to share with who likes the great talent and art of our hand-drawn super friends ! I want the viewer to experiment a visual journey into the colourful world of super beings. Those who like to contact me and exchange point of views on the latest movies or series of .. whatever, will be welcome! I wish you all a nice visit! Comic-ly yours! |
